See last night I finally got to rewatch my favorite Disney movie, Meet The Robinsons (its on Netflix 10/10 recommend).This isn't my favorite movie because of any crazy plot twist or characters, but because of the overall message to embrace failure, and keep moving forward. Its part of a famous quote from Walt Disney: Walt Disney As the semester is getting closer to ending, I continue to have more and more assignments due. Being an entrepreneurship major it feels as if I'm always being forced to create new ideas. When you pitch your ideas there is always room for rejection, and I have encountered section this semester with my business ideas. "Time flies when you're having fun!" That statement has never seemed more true to me than this past week. After the craziness of my Monday and Tuesday (midterms and presentations), I took a couple of days just to have fun. So far this semester I haven't had the most fun because I had such a strict schedule when I was working, interning, and volunteering. A few weeks ago I quit my job, and I've had a little more time to do things that I enjoy. I get to spend more time with my boyfriend, sleep in, make my own meals, and go to bed at a more decent hour! This weekend was definitely proof that time does really fly when you're having fun! My best friend of 15 years got married and I was able to ditch reality for 2 days to go be a part of her big day. Image These past few weeks have been stressful, but I've tried my best to not let them put me behind on my class work! My famous last words this week would have to be choose wisely. I can't say I've made the best academic choices the past couple of weeks. I've missed a couple of classes, made a couple of poor decisions in choosing my groups for projects, and have made poor time management decisions. If I could go back and do it again I wouldn't have missed those classes or picked the people I have chosen to work with for the rest of the semester. I have been super stressed as midterms have been approaching because no one in my groups will do the assignment. I have a group paper and presentation due on Tuesday and not a single person has done a thing. Since I have so much on my plate I have had 0 motivation to do any of the assignments. I feel like it's only fitting to follow up with my blog post last week about how I was straight up struggling. I think it's important to note that this week was stressful in different ways, but I stuck to my last words last week. I was strict about staying on my homework schedule, and feel like I put a great amount of effort into my writings this week. This past week I have realized that I have officially stepped onto the Struggle Bus. Before this week managing my 18 hours, work, interning, volunteering, and personal relationships was going well and then week 4 hit.. The beginning of the week I stuck to my normal schedule, and then some unexpected things hit in my internship and other online classes that diverted my attention away from this course this week. I actually missed writing my week four story, and I'm planning on writing a week 4 story later tonight just so everyone has something to comment on next week. Needless to say, I'm not all that proud of the work I put into this week, but I made up for missed assignments through extra credit.
