Famous Last Words: Time Flies

"Time flies when you're having fun!" That statement has never seemed more true to me than this past week. After the craziness of my Monday and Tuesday (midterms and presentations), I took a couple of days just to have fun. So far this semester I haven't had the most fun because I had such a strict schedule when I was working, interning, and volunteering. A few weeks ago I quit my job, and I've had a little more time to do things that I enjoy. I get to spend more time with my boyfriend, sleep in, make my own meals, and go to bed at a more decent hour! This weekend was definitely proof that time does really fly when you're having fun! My best friend of 15 years got married and I was able to ditch reality for 2 days to go be a part of her big day. Before I knew it, the night was over and all that was left was  my wilted flower crown and these pictures to prove the night was indeed a fun time.

My famous last words for reader's is to remember that the more fun you have, the more time is going to fly by. It's so important that we are still intentional in the fun moments to take in every detail so that at the end of the day, we don't forget the special details. My second bit of advice to those that may get lost in the craziness of their schedules like me, remember that time flies by even faster when you're not paying attention. Strive for good grades and provide for yourself financially, but don't let yourself look later in life saying "man. I wish I would have just _______  when I was in college." We get one life on this earth (at least thats what I believe), so enjoy it while you can!

  1. I'm so happy I clicked on your post on the blog stream! You're so right. Time really does fly by, and even more so when you're having fun. It's crazy to look back at life even thus far. All I can think is... "Where did all of the time go?" Congrats to your best friend of 15 years, that's so exciting and I'm glad it was a blast! Also, good for you on making it to where you have time to do things for yourself and enjoy your time more!
