The First Meeting

My first favorite storybook would have to be The First Meeting. The stories of Sita and Ahalya are not ones that I'm particularly familiar with, but I am typically intrigued by stories of strength and struggles. I specifically like that the author took a spin on the two tales to tell them from the perspective of Sita and Ahalya. The introduction of The First Meeting sets up the rest of the story very well. From the very beginning you are introduced to all the characters, and the reasoning behind telling the story. The introduction does a very great job at catching the readers attention from the get go, and leaving them wanting to read more. The navigation of the blog is very straight forward, and easy for users. The background used on the site wasn't overwhelming, and I loved how there was an ombre type effect to keep the simplicity of the website.

Another one of my favorites would have to be the Bed Time Stories. Turning the tales into kid friendly stories puts a fun twist on them, and keeps the reader engaged! The website itself was a perfect fitting to the overall idea of a bedtime story, and it was easy to navigate. The pictures on the website including reactions you would expect a child to make and matched what the writer said in the story making them good visual aids. The introduction set the story up very well, and was light hearted and fun! I especially loved how the bed time stories were in order of youngest to oldest, since you would put the youngest to sleep first. Very organized!

This blog was very fun, and very unique. Instead of telling a twist of a story, the writer created a blog all about the food and culture a character experienced when going to India themselves. It was so cool to see them take the perspective of a tourist enjoying the food and festivals of India. The website was really easy to navigate through, and the pictures of all the different foods made me kinda hungry! I might have to try out the recipes they provided to get the full experience!
